Information we collect

If you submit the volunteer form, we collect the information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, volunteer interests, general availability, and optional notes.

The site may also process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request timing, and security tokens for anti-spam, rate limiting, fraud prevention, service reliability, and account security. Campaign administrators who enable push notifications may have a device push subscription and browser information stored so that the device can receive administrative notifications.

How we use information

Volunteer information is used to review volunteer interest, organize campaign activities, contact people about volunteer opportunities, respond to requests, maintain campaign records, prevent abuse, and operate and secure the website.

Providing a phone number does not by itself authorize automated or prerecorded campaign calls or texts where separate consent is required. If the campaign later uses a program that requires additional consent, separate notice or consent may be presented.

How information is shared

Information may be available to authorized campaign personnel and may be shared with service providers that help operate campaign systems, communications, hosting, security, or other campaign functions. Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, campaign-finance obligations, protect rights or security, or investigate misuse.

This policy does not describe information practices on websites that the campaign does not control.

Campaign contributions

The contribution button on this website sends you to Anedot, a third-party contribution processor. This campaign website does not directly collect payment-card details through the volunteer system. Information you provide on Anedot is handled under Anedot's own terms and privacy practices, as well as applicable campaign-finance law.

Retention and security

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for campaign operations, recordkeeping, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate campaign purposes. The campaign uses administrative access controls and technical safeguards intended to protect information, but no website or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may choose not to submit the volunteer form. If you want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of volunteer information you previously submitted, contact Friends of Robert Stevens at terms@voterobertstevens.com and provide enough information to locate the submission.

You can also control browser permissions, including notification permissions, through your browser or device settings.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and the volunteer form is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If the campaign learns that personal information was submitted by a child under 13, it may take reasonable steps to delete that information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website, campaign operations, or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
